The Lakeside Hotel and leisure complex, based alongside the beautiful Lake Windermere.

Lakeside swimming pool was a reinforced concrete structure as was the swimming pool Built at Lancaster University.

Askam constructed a swimming pool designed in keeping with the Hotel’s elegant interior, the facility included changing rooms and saunas. As the new facility was visible from the Lake it had a living roof placed over the new structure. Working hours were limited as the Hotel was functioning throughout the duration of the works so for the comfort of the guests early starts were prohibited.

On completion of the swimming facility Askam then re-modelled, and carried out internal alterations to the Windermere Suite of rooms.
