Sedbergh Health Centre
The Sedbergh Health Centre is a busy Centre running many clinics for a wide variety of medical services from chronic disease care, antenatal, postnatal, childhood vaccinations to general check-ups.
Works were carried out over a 10-month contract period.
The doctors required an easily managed and functional building, controlled from a centrally located reception space. The new Health Centre, constructed on a brownfield site, has visual contact with the general waiting area and the main entrance, as well as the secondary rear entry used by the local school.
The building is of traditional construction, with a mixture of natural stone and roughcast render walls under a new Burlington slate roof.
