The client, Lancashire County Council, required a link road building to give easier access to residents of several new build estates.

The link road, Eastway on D’Urton Lane has now been named ‘Mericourt Road’.

Works on this phase one, included:

• Build of a new roundabout
• Ducting, kerbing, paving, drainage, surfacing, lighting, signalling, signage – the evacuation of two ponds and the installation and maintenance of traffic management throughout the duration of the project.
