Who Are We?

Askam is managed by a dedicated Board of Executive and Non-executive Directors, with a balance between experience, knowledge and enthusiasm. John Lowery: Managing Director and founder of the company. John has over 25 years experience in all forms of construction and water based civil engineering. He is also a Civil Engineering and Chartered Director. Sheena Marsden: Group Sales, Personnel and Training Director. Sheena has over 30 years experience in sales, marketing and human resources management, and has also owned and run her own company. Peter Isherwood: Civil Engineering Division Director, having previously been a Site Manager and Senior Contracts Manager for the Civil Engineering Division. Damian Teal: Construction Division Director. Damian replaced Bob Campbell as the director responsible for building activities in April 2007, following Bob's retirement. Damian's career spans nearly 20 years, progressing from site engineer through to site and contracts management. Well grounded with significant spells with John Sisk & Sons and within the Kier Group. Peter Brown: Group Chairman. Peter was Managing Director of Brown & Jackson and grew the company until it was floated on the stock exchange. He then became Chief Executive of Prestoplan; the first modular construction company, before setting up as a consultant to the industry. Our staff: A brilliant group of people without whom the company would not exist. Askam have operatives and tradesmen on site, engineers and site managers, contract managers, office personnel and of course, sub-contractors who are as important to the working of the company as our own staff.
